Alan Cumming in Praise of Gay Marriage

Scottish actor ALAN CUMMING was delighted to be allowed to marry his longterm partner - because it meant he could throw a big party for his family and friends. The X2 star wed Grant Shaffer in a lavish star-studded civil partnership ceremony in 2007, three years after same-sex marriage was introduced in the U.K. And Cumming was thrilled to finally wed Shaffer after two years of dating, as his loved ones had waited so long to celebrate their union.
