300 Attend Gay Pride Parade in Romania

Around 300 people, among them representatives from other European countries marched in the parade to ask Romanian authorities to recognize homosexual marriage. Romania joined the European Union in 2007. During the years of communist rule, before 1989, homosexuality was a crime, and it is still not widely accepted among many Romanian people.
