New Poll of NY City Shows 46% Favor Gay Marriage, 42% Opposed

An exclusive NY1 poll shows that New York City residents are split over legalizing same-sex marriage in New York State, with 46 percent in favor and 42 percent opposed. Eleven percent of New Yorkers say they aren't sure whether they favor or oppose same-sex marriage and one percent refused to state their position.
