New Ad Campaign Calls for Gay Marriage in Australia

Proud mother of two Shelly Argent believes one of her sons is being treated as a second-rate citizen because he is gay and can't get married. In a new national television advertising campaign she calls on Prime Minister Kevin Rudd to give same-sex couples the right to legally tie the knot. "As a parent I want the best for both my sons, including the same happiness I've had in my 35-year marriage," Mrs Argent, the national spokesperson for Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG), says.
