The noisy, meddlesome Italian-American family of playwright Anthony Wilkinson's "My Big Gay Italian Wedding" will play its most lavish venue to date, the 2,000-plus seat St. George Theatre, on Saturday.
After sold-out runs six years ago (in the Village at the Actors Theatre, and midtown on Theater Row), Wilkinson's semi-autobiographical romp, a love-triumphs-over-all saga of the Pinnunziato family, is back as a one-night benefit.
It's been newly enlarged and star-studded. Soap star Scott Evans, a regular on "One Life to Live," will star in the revival. Wilkinson, himself an associate director on "One Life," will again star as Tony Pinnunziato.
