NOM Leader & Maine Catholic Bishop Meeting Tonight

Jesse Connolly, the campaign manager for No on 1/Protect Maine Equality has a post up at DailyKos (a recommended post, no less), titled, The Road to Marriage Equality Leads through Maine." That's true. We know it. And, the gay-haters know it, too. Via Jeremy Hooper, we learn that the Bishop of Maine has invited one of the nation's leading homophobes to Maine tonight. Yes, the Bishop of Maine really is scraping the bottom of the anti-gay barrel for allies in his anti-gay quest. According to Jeremy, who is masterful at finding these things, Maggie Gallagher is "appearing tonight at a 'private meeting for Catholic clergy' at the request of Bishop Malone." (One wonders how many of the clergy at this meeting are gay. Chances are, it's quite a few.) Full Story from America Blog
