Guam Considers Civil Unions for Gay/Lesbian Couples

Vice-Speaker BJ Cruz Wednesday introduced a bill on behalf of the Guam Youth Congress that would allow for same sex civil unions on Guam. Bill No. 138 states that the "people of Guam are widely known for their kindness and their compassion, and with the recent rulings allowing gay marriages in Massachusetts and Connecticut, it is time that Guam afford its sizable number of same sex couples the right to enter into a union that is recognized by the Government of Guam."
