The Popular Food Deli on Flatlands Avenue is just down the block from the office of State Senator John Sampson. NY1 stopped by the neighborhood Saturday and asked residents hanging out outside the foodstore what they think about Sampson being undecided about how to vote for gay marriage.
"It's a real touchy subject, I guess he might be dragging his feet depending on who he's representing; it's a difficult situation, said Brooklyn resident Victor Rivera.
"He's probably not making a decision because it's what the voters might think of him and he lose those votes so, it's a touchy situation with that, if he vote the wrong way he might not get reelected," said Brooklyn resident Benjamin Williams.
