Gay Marriage Supporters Hold Counterprotest Against NOM in Rhode Island

R.I.-Two groups that support legalizing gay marriage in Rhode Island have protested outside an event held by an organization that opposes same-sex marriage. Heterosexual couples renewed their vows at Sunday afternoon’s event in Warwick organized by the Rhode Island chapter of the National Organization for Marriage. The pro-gay marriage groups Queer Action of Rhode Island and Providence Equality Action Committee say their members held a peaceful protest. They held up signs but did not attempt to enter or disrupt the ceremony. Full Story from Edge Boston
