Annette Bening & Julianne Moore Play a Lesbian Couple in New Film

Julianne Moore and Annette Bening make for one cute couple. On screen that is. The savvy and sassy redheads team up as lesbians for The Kids Are All Right, a film by indie director Lisa Cholodenko that is making its world debut at Berlin, AFP reports. In the movie, Moore and Bening, a happy pair for two decades, see their relationship start to unravel when the sperm donor father of their teenagers enters the picture.

Moore said:'For me the movie is very much a portrait of a marriage and a family and about what it's like to be married for a long time and have children. I don't think it matters what your sexuality is. I think all families are the same that way.'

Bening plays a successful obstetrician, while Moore is sees her career drifting and makes friends with a ladies man played by Mark Ruffalo. Ruffalo appeared in the Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, while Mia Wasikowska also makes an appearance.
