Gay marriage supporters flocked to the Statehouse this morning as lawmakers prepared for their first day of the lameduck session. Steven Goldstein, chair of Garden State Equality, rallied at least 150 protesters on West State Street, directing them to take advantage of legislative committee meetings and speak with their senators.
Goldstein said their job today was to "see and be seen" in T-shirts bearing the slogan, "Equality, the American Dream."
Although the Senate Judiciary committee is not considering the bill today, gay marriage proponents are demonstrating their support for S1967 anyway.
