Buffalo, NY Considering Domestic Partner Bill

Unmarried but committed couples should receive the same benefits married couples enjoy, activists for a domestic partner bill told the Common Council today. Two Buffalo lawmakers want to make all city employees eligible for domestic partner benefits. They also want the city to create a new registry that would provide any couple documenting a domestic partnership with a certificate that verifies the union.
