Maryland State Senator to Sponsor Gay Marriage Legislation in 2010

Maryland State Senator Brian Frosh (D, Montgomery County), chair of the Judicial Proceedings Committee, told The Gazette he plans next year to co-sponsor – with Senator Richard Madaleno (D, Montgomery County) – legislation that would legalize same-sex marriage in Maryland. Frosh, whose committee has debated same-sex marriage legislation for the past three years, has declined opportunities to co-sponsor any of the bills previously introduced.
