Gay Marriage Watch: May 18th-May 24th

Hi all,

Here's the weekly update of everything we could find about the fight over Gay Marriage. The big story: The California Supreme Court's ruling on gay marriage continues to reverberate across the country, with foes asking for a stay until the November election - which conveniently would mean no gay and lesbian couples to be disenfranchised.

If you have any thoughts about how we can make this feature better or easier to use, or any updates on the issues covered here, let me know at info@purpleunions.com.

This week's Woody award honors go to John McCain, who appeared on Ellen's show saying "I just believe in the unique status of marriage between man and woman," to which Ellen replied "We are all the same people, all of us - you're no different than I am. Our love is the same." Go Ellen, and shame on you, Mr. McCain.

Enjoy the rest of the Watch!
